In an age where AI threatens to destroy traditional assessments and essays, this presentation reaches into the past to explore a different way of assessing students. We will discuss how short one-on-one oral exams between teachers and students help do the following: assess whether students are learning from their Learning Management System; determine whether students are using that LMS with fidelity; and build a rapport and relationship between students and teachers. This presentation will also explore how virtual teachers can use the traditional Oxford University tutorial method of teaching and apply it to 6-12 online learning
