Why do so many adolescent students struggle in reading and how can we best help them? The goal of this session is to equip educators to leverage the science of reading to help students who face reading challenges. We will explore the necessity of a structured approach to teaching, as well as how to use assessments to guide instruction. Practical strategies in vocabulary and comprehension will be provided so that you can best support literacy development for all students, especially those facing challenges
