In today's digital age, students must be equipped with the skills to navigate and thrive in online learning environments. This session will provide educators with practical strategies and tools to create engaging and effective software simulations using minimal resources. Participants will learn how to choose the right tools and design and implement asynchronous software simulations that help students navigate their digital learning environments.

The Power of the Oral Exam LIMITED

In an age where AI threatens to destroy traditional assessments and essays, this presentation reaches into the past to explore a different way of assessing students. We will discuss how short one-on-one oral exams between teachers and students help do the following: assess whether students are learning from their Learning Management System; determine whether students are using that LMS with fidelity; and build a rapport and relationship between students and teachers. This presentation will also explore how virtual teachers can use the traditional Oxford University tutorial method of teaching and apply it to 6-12 online learning
